Blaine's 2024 Steer Project

Hello,

My name is Blaine Trautman.  The reason I am writing is to tell you a little about my market steer, “Chuck,” and myself.  Chuck is an Angus Chi-Maine cross.  This is my second year raising a steer.  Chuck and I spend a lot of time in the barn, either giving Chuck a bath and blowing his hair dry to make him handsome, walking Chuck to keep him fit, cleaning his pen, and of course feeding Chuck.  I would like Chuck to weigh 1,350 pounds at fair.

Besides raising a steer and market lamb, I love to play basketball and will play football for the first time this fall.  I began playing the guitar about two years ago and really enjoy playing both the electric and acoustic guitar.  I love music!

If you would like to see me show Chuck, please join me at the Jackson County Fair July 18th or 19th.  I will also be selling Chuck at the 2024 Jackson County Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday, July 20th.  The buyer’s BBQ starts at 5:00pm, followed by the auction at 7:00pm.

Thank you for all you do for 4-H and FFA exhibitors!

Sincerely,

Cascade Cattle 4-H Club
